Each year Paste pays tribute to one person each from narrative and documentary film that truly made a huge impact on filmcraft. In 2010, for narrative film we chose Mark Ruffalo who, in addition to his Oscar-nominated turn in The Kids are All Right, directed his first feature (the criminally underrated Sympathy for Delicious), and was announced as the new Hulk. Our documentarian of the year was Alex Gibney for several films, our favorite of which was Client 9: The Rise and Fall of Eliot Spitzer.
